The new formats of the 3.0 offices come from how we are currently working, in contrast to how we worked decades ago and from a better understanding of current needs.

Twenty years ago, offices 1.0 had 30% of the spaces occupied by closed offices, 40% for closed cubicles or boxes and only 10% were meeting space. They were very tight offices and did not favor teamwork, they came from a very hierarchical work culture and with total disconnection of what is the Collaborative Culture. Now companies have many multidisciplinary spaces to promote a more work connected with current work formats.

In the offices 2.0, of the s. Twenty-five, 65% of the spaces were open space, with a large decrease in closed offices, but still kept a small 10% for meeting spaces, where they could collaborate as a team and discuss issues in an agile and comfortable way.

Even nowadays, people are going to work every morning, and it is based on their assigned work place, that is to say that each worker has their own table, but half of the working day is left vacant, this waste of the Space has great economic costs for companies, at the real estate level.

The new proposals in the 3.0 offices pass, above all, to change from the common 10% to 60% common areas of collaboration, to promote meetings in different meeting spaces and to forget about many spaces assigned ( they could hardly be called reserved) that are wasted.

This new format of offices generates collaboration spaces where new business ideas can be searched for in comfort, creating great synergies impossible in older formats.

There are also new proposals for spaces where ideas grow in an unaddressed environment, they are areas of relaxation: they can be areas for being, meeting or documentation areas, types of libraries.

Another type of space is play areas, which are also very useful for workers to create new ideas in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Obviously these new ways of working are based on a completely digitized work style, based on technology and the massive use of the laptop or technology that allows mobility within the office.

The evolution of the offices towards format 3.0 is a natural tendency, but also a social need, because the work environment directed to the Collaborative Culture will allow retaining the talent of the new generations that are incorporated into the current labor market!
